Relying on the TCM Institute of Tianjin Pharmaceutical Da Ren Tang Group Corporation Limited and led by Tianjin TCM Quality Control Enterprise Key Laboratory, the proprietary Chinese medicine secondary development platform carries out the secondary development research on proprietary Chinese medicine, including expanding indications, improving drug forms, material basis of classic prescriptions, quality control, mechanism of action, evidence-based medicine and pharmacoeconomics. It has established a scientific and reasonable TCM quality evaluation system and evaluation standards, and comprehensively improved the quality control level of the whole industrial chain of proprietary Chinese medicine.

It developed LC-MS/MS method for methodological research on 30 kinds of banned pesticides remaining in various Chinese herbal medicines and decoction pieces; It has established a variety of rapid detection methods for amedicinal materials, and improved the rapid detection methods for varieties such as Suxiao Jiuxin Pills and Shunao Xindi Pills; Through study on the chemical components of traditional Chinese medicine, research on phytochemistry and the material basis of pharmacodynamics, and clarifying the material basis of pharmacodynamics, it has comprehensively improved the technical level in the field of TCM quality control and accelerated the industrialization process of new traditional Chinese medicine.
